Volunteer

For a limited time, Disney is offering the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program where they want to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of service to a participating organization in their communities. In celebrating each volunteer’s good works, Disney is offering each volunteer a free 1-day, 1-theme park ticket to the Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney World® Resort.

The Deering Estate at Cutler and Miami-Dade Parks & Recreation have joined as participating organizations through the Hands On Network to be host agencies for volunteer service sites in our communities. If you are interested in participating, while giving back to your own community by joining many as they perform volunteer services at different park locations, please visit the Disney website to sign up for these events.

As the Deering Estate enters into a new and exciting season of events, exhibitions, and programs, we have an opportunity to engage community volunteers to enhance and expand the reach of our Education and Interpretive Staff. We are always in need of helping hands for a day of environmental clean-up, recycling projects, special events, trail management, butterfly gardening and much more. We are also seeking to train a dedicated corps of long-term volunteer docents to assist in conducting tours and recreation programs, archiving and collections management, and new program development. If you have a particular interest in sharing the many resources the Deering Estate at Cutler has to offer with others, we invite you to become one of our esteemed volunteers.
