Youth Arts Day & Music Fest is a community collaboration celebrating creativity, youth artists, diversity, and creating awareness of Miami-Dade County’s rich cultural resources. Youth Arts Day & Music Fest features a month long visual and literary art exhibition as well as a day long series of youth performance and art on Sunday, May 5, 2013. We invite schools and community organizations serving our youth to get involved!

2013 YOUTH ARTS DAY EXHIBIT
On display daily 10:00 am to 4:00 pm;
Free with Estate admission

Enjoy works from countywide elementary, middle and high school students at our Youth Arts Day Exhibit on view in the Stone House and Richmond Cottage.

APPLICATION PROCESS ENTRY FORM
Youth groups and individual youth artists (visual, literary & performance) interested in participating as an artist in the 2012 Youth Arts Day & Music Fest must submit the application form and any digital samples by FRIDAY, MARCH 15th, 2012. Submissions are limited to one per student.

COSTS
There are no application costs to participate as an artist in Youth Arts Day & Music Fest. Youth artists or their sponsoring organization are responsible for supplying his/her own equipment, exhibit materials, transportation and anything necessary to complete his/her submission. All youth visitors (K-12) are given free admittance to the Estate on May 5th. Adults admission $12.00 per person.

YOUTH ARTS DAY AWARDS
Founding members of the Living Artist Concert Series and the Estate’s Artists in Residence have offered their time and talent to act as volunteer judges to award winning exhibit submissions.

SCHEDULE
FRIDAY, MARCH 15, 2013: Application forms due at Estate.
APRIL 17-18, 2013: Drop off of student work at Estate.
MAY 5, 2013: YOUTH ARTS DAY & MUSIC FEST
MAY 17-18, 2013: Artwork pick-up from Estate.
