Volunteer Workdays

Volunteer Workdays at the Deering Estate
Participating in the Deering Estate at Cutler's Volunteer Workdays encourages individuals, companies, civic groups, and neighborhood associations to volunteer their time and resources to help maintain the beauty of this historical treasure. You may clean up the coastline and mangroves areas, our natural areas trails, fulfill community hours, or complete a scouting badge, just to name a few. Your volunteer efforts will bring smiles to many faces and our community will be a better place as a direct result of your efforts. Get involved and earn community service hours! Please pre-register by email at jfiallo@miamidade.gov or by calling 305-235-1668 ext. 261.

Natural Areas Management Workdays

Please visit NAM  for dates, times, and locations.

The "Adopt-a-Natural Area" program promotes citizen volunteers to assist in forest and park management activities. Natural Areas Management (NAM) and the Environmentally Endangered Lands program (EEL) hold several workdays throughout Miami-Dade County in which citizens learn of the importance of native habitats and their restoration.

For more community service opportunities with Miami-Dade Parks Team, please visit the Park & Recreation Volunteer page, or contact Angie Gomez at (305) 961-2781.
